Members have expressed a wish to see a members only newsletter that focused on issues and news from both within SCGIS and the conservation GIS community. A great number of people have worked hard to put these newsletters together, and thanks go out to all the contributors.
To all our readers, please remember that the SCGIS electronic newsletter is your newsletter. Suggestions for improvement are always welcome, as are submissions for the next issue. The format you see here came out of numerous discussions between members of the communications committee. We hope to make committee reports, messages from the president, and members news and notes regular features. We also hope to publish the newsletter at least twice yearly. Suggestions (and submissions!) for future "theme issues" would be welcome! Please email our
Newsletter Editor.
