Whova

We use the Whova app as our go-to resource for communication at our conference. It is where you will find the live conference agenda, get the most recent updates, and connect with other attendees. We will be launching the Whova event very soon and will alert attendees when it goes live.

Map Gallery

The map gallery reception will be held the evening of Wednesday, July 8th. If you would like to share your map, there is no need to pre-register and there are no size limitations. We accept physical and digital maps, but you should come prepared to share digital maps on your own laptop or tablet.

Activities

We are very lucky to have several extracurricular activities for attendees this year:

  • Milky Way Photography Class On Wednesday evening, July 8th, SCGIS founder and professional photographer Charles Convis will share his passion for night-sky photography. Learn from Charles how to capture the Milky Way with your own camera! Beginners are welcome, and participants need only to bring a non-phone camera with manual setting capabilities. • Birding Walk Join local SCGIS member Matthew Fountain for a morning birding walk at the conference venue on Friday, July 10th! Bring your own binoculars. No need to register – check the Whova app for details during the conference.

  • Pika Hike On Saturday, July 11th, join the Colorado Pika Project (a partnership of Rocky Mountain Wild and Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance) for a hike to see American pikas in Rocky Mountain National Park.
